Coach Bhavesh Chadda Biography

Bhavesh Chadda, Tennis Pro
USPTA Certified 10 years, PTR Certified 8 years (972)746-7728

Bhavesh was born in India and began playing tennis at age 8. At the junior level(under 14), he was ranked #2 in the state of Gujarat, and top 20 nationally. Bhavesh moved to the United States in 1994 to attend the prestigious IMG Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Bradenton Florida. During his four years of intense athletic training there, he was formally trained by the best tennis coaches in the world alongside top players including Anna Kournikova, Mary Pierce, Xavier Malisse, Marcelo Rios, and Tommy Haas. In his third year at Bollettieri, he earned the Sportsmanship Award- which honored one player each year. Bhavesh played in high-level tournaments such as the Eddie Herr International Junior Championship, the Orange Bowl International Championship. He graduated in the “Top Gun” group- the second highest of 16 playing levels that the tennis academy produces.

Bhavesh attended the University of Southern Indiana on a full tennis scholarship, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. On the USI tennis team, he played #3 singles and #1 doubles, earning MVP and numerous other awards each year.

Bhavesh has been coaching full-time for over 18 years. He was Head Tennis Professional at Southlake Tennis Center from 2003-2010. While he was head pro there, he trained the top high school players, and top upcoming juniors in the DFW area. Out of those, many went to Division 1 and Division 2 colleges on tennis scholarships. Since 2010 to present, he’s been teaching tennis players of all ages and all skill levels. He has developed great beginners, intermediate, and competitive/tournament players. Bhavesh enjoys working with children, he’s intuitive about player’s strengths and weaknesses, and naturally instills his own love of the game of tennis in those he coaches.

Bhavesh offers a full tennis program, providing instruction to all ages and levels. He runs tennis drills, summer classes, USTA Jr Team Tennis, and private lessons. In the groups classes you will learn fundamental technical skills, game strategy, mental and emotional strategy, and physical skills like court movement technique, speed and power. He relays his Bollettieri training to his students now. Bhavesh is the new Director of Tennis for the Keller Alliance Tennis Charter(KATCH), where their main purpose is to “grow the game” of tennis in this area. Bhavesh works directly with individual students’ growth and success by interacting and consulting with the local ISD tennis coaches.

When Bhavesh is off the court, he spends his time with his wife Kamele, his son Luke(6), and daughter Remi(2). Luke is already an avid tennis player and Remi loves to be the ball girl(even though she’s not that great at it).
